You'll find me throughout the week at homely Union Station Yoga, Clapham, where I'm lucky enough to spend my time managing, teaching and drinking lots of coconut and orange tea!
Towards the end of the week I teach at urban inspired studio, Yogarise, in the artistic Bussey Building, Peckham.
What both these awesome spaces have in common is a passion to bring together the local community. Focusing not just on finding union with our individual mind, body and breath- but through connection to those around us- encouraging students to take their yoga practice off the mat and into the city.
Union Station Yoga, Clapham
Union Station Yoga's mission is to create a space for you to slow down from the fast-pace of big city living, and take time to connect to yourself and your community. We opened our doors in 2015 and were warmly welcomed by the Battersea, Clapham and Wandsworth communities. Building relationships with our students and making a difference in their lives will always be the main focus of our studio. Whether you're looking for a strong dynamic practice, a relaxing and restorative session, or a cup of tea and a chat, we are here. All of our teachers have been carefully chosen and have their own unique backgrounds, experience and styles. We encourage you to try classes with all of them and find teachers that bring out the best in you and your practice. Expect a warm welcome, passionate people and life-changing yoga!
Founders Emma and Sean (and Misty the dog) are Peckham locals who love yoga. Having spent years travelling across London to their favourite teachers and studios, they thought… why not bring them to us instead, so their friends and neighbours can join in the fun, minus the hassle? Essentially, they think yoga makes you feel good. If we can share a bit of that around, make more people feel good, what’s not to love? So… Make it happen people. Get your ass-ana on the mat and get yogarising!
